EdSync Privacy Policy
Effective September 1, 2026
GrowthPoint Technologies, Inc. operates EdSync, an enrollment and program-management platform used by education organizations. This policy explains how EdSync handles information when schools, districts, parents, guardians, students, and authorized staff use the service.
Information we collect
Depending on the services requested, EdSync may process student and guardian contact information, enrollment responses, program selections, attendance and compliance records, account information, communications preferences, device and browser information, and security or audit records. Schools and districts may provide information to EdSync, and parents or guardians may provide information directly through registration and consent forms.
How information is used
We use information to operate and secure EdSync; provide enrollment, registration, attendance, reporting, and compliance services; deliver requested communications; support users; maintain audit records; and satisfy contractual or legal obligations. We do not use student information for behavioral advertising.
Schools and service providers
EdSync processes education records under agreements with participating education organizations. We may use vetted service providers for hosting, file storage, email, text messaging, security, and related operations. They may process information only to provide contracted services and are subject to confidentiality and security obligations.
Mobile information and SMS consent
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS consent are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide mobile information to service providers that deliver EdSync messages, but only as necessary to provide the requested messaging service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
Security and retention
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. We retain information for as long as needed to provide services, honor education-organization requirements, maintain consent and security records, and meet legal obligations.
Your choices
Parents and guardians may decline optional EdSync text messages without affecting enrollment eligibility. Reply STOP to an EdSync text to opt out. Requests to access or correct education records should generally be directed to the applicable school or district, which controls those records.
Children’s information
EdSync is intended for use under the direction of education organizations and parents or guardians. We do not knowingly ask children to independently enroll in promotional messaging.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the revised effective date. Questions may be sent to help@ercdata.com.
